Main purpose of the job :
Reporting to the Head of Aquatics the Aquatics Maintenance Technician will be primarily responsible for the inspection, maintenance and repair of the integrated electromechanical automation elements and the hydraulic systems in conjunction with the Automation Department for the underwater scenic elements. They will also assist the Aquatics maintenance team in the daily inspections of the pool systems, scuba equipment and Air/Nitrox compressor systems. Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and systems update of all equipment and systems associated with the Dragone Aquatics dive operations and underwater scenic elements. Duties to include the maintenance of the electronic motorization control, mechanical, pheumatic and hydraulic systems for the underwater scenic elements. 2. Roles and Responsibilities: · Maintain safe and consistent operations for show rehearsals and performances;· Maintain and repair the electrical motorization and air systems on all underwater scenic elements. · Work with novice divers and performers until they feel comfortable working in a water environment;· Assist in inspecting, assembling and maintaining all aspects of equipment for training, rehearsals, performances, and special events; maintain all dive gear;· Participate in pre-set, performance, and post-set of show equipment; · Assist with the daily underwater inspection of Hydraulic lift systems · Maintenance and repair to the electrical motorization, mechanical and air systems on the underwater scenic elements· Daily inspection of the Air/Nitrox Compressor Systems· Assist Aquatics maintenance team with preparation of scuba equipment for shows· Automation support for the movement of the Golden Boat when necessary· Assist in with the inspection and maintenance of the Air/Nitrox Compressor Systems· Maintenance and Repair of the scuba regulators and all dive related equipment· Cleaning & preparation of cylinders, valves and regulator components for Nitrox and Oxygen service· Scuba cylinder visual and hydrostatic testing; Scuba regulator service and repair;· Cleaning & preparation of cylinders, valves and regulator components for Nitrox and Oxygen service; Competencies
  • Must possess excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills with proven talents in safety and teamwork
  • Must be familiar with the maintenance and repair of electrical motors and motor controls systems. Experience in mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic and high pressure systems

  • Maintain a flexible schedule for work calls, special events, rehearsals, training sessions, show performances and emergency maintenance calls. Ability to work under pressure.
  • Possess current certifications for the repair of scuba regulators from Scubapro, APEX and MARES
  • Have the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, hydraulic control and mechanical systems.
  • Assist Aquatics maintenance team with preparation of scuba equipment for shows
  • Ability to learn or update life saving skills and/or become CPR/first responder;
  • Ability to withstand long periods of exposure to chlorinated water

  • Have the ability to assist in maintaining a safe working environment by conforming to all established safety policies and procedures; participate in all required safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training.
  • Experience with automated systems and PLC programming helpful.
3. Qualifications :
Education · High school diploma or equivalent;
Experience· Minimum 2 years experience in professional SCUBA diving.
· Professional level diving certification with a minimum of Open Water Instructor
· Experience with Bauer Scuba compressors required
· Hold manufacturers certification to repair scuba regulators. Must be presently performing repairs.
· Electrical skills a plus
Other Skills
· Ability to learn or update life saving skills and/or become CPR/first responder;· Must be fluent in the English language;· Knowledge of MS Windows and MS office systems;· Experience in mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic and high pressure systems
