Located in Natick Massachusetts, MASS Diving is a 5-Star PADI IDC Training Facility serving snorkelers and scuba divers with instruction, equipment sales and service, dive travel and more in the Boston, Massachusetts Metrowest area, New England and beyond. Our dive center features a 6700 sq. ft. facility housing retail, rental, service, and classroom areas as well as a 5000 psi air station. MASS Diving offers a wide variety of merchandise from multiple major manufacturers, equipment rentals, snorkeling and all levels of scuba instruction, a full service in-house equipment repair facility, dive travel, social dive programs, and much more!

Scuba Sales Associate & Service Technician

Job Description/Role:
This is a front line position with retail sales, customer service, equipment repair, and general retail operations. You will determine customer’s needs and make product and class recommendations that will enhance their overall diving experience, provide guidance on equipment sizing and fit, and operate the POS system for transactions, rentals, and inventory. Remaining current with product lines, trends and new technology is a vital requirement of this role. Applicant must be highly organized, motivated, and capable of multi-tasking. Strong communication skills are a must when working with customers as well as with other staff. A punctual, responsible, self-starter will be best suited for this position.

This position is part time with occasional full time hours depending on schedule demand. A varied schedule will include day, evening, and weekend shifts. The position responsibilities are divided between retail sales and equipment service. Daily responsibilities can vary depending upon need.

Responsibilities/Duties:
· Determine customer needs and make product, education, and travel recommendations
· Actively recommend courses and continuing education as well as demonstrate proficiency in product knowledge and selling skills
· Fill tanks
· Resolve customer problems efficiently and tactfully
· Preparation of required class equipment and supplies
· Preparation of reserved rental equipment
· Receiving and processing shipments
· Complete necessary paperwork and documentation neatly and accurately
· Equipment service work on regulators, BCD’s, and tanks; we will train

Qualifications:
· Scuba certified – Open Water minimum, PADI preferred
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· Prefer at least 1 year of retail or sales experience; scuba sales a plus
· Must have an outgoing, friendly personality with exceptional customer service skills
· Organized and able work in shared work space
· Basic knowledge of products; we will train
· Position does require lifting/carrying upwards of 50lbs
· Use of the products we promote and sell
· Strong, effective communication skills
· Multi-tasking capable
· Ability to meet specified goals and deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
· High school diploma a must, college degree is a plus but not a requirement
· Any scuba industry/manufacturer specific service related training a plus
· Use of tools/mechanical expertise is a plus
· Any professional level scuba certifications are a plus but not required
