Dive In for Ocean Day!

Celebrate Ocean Day on Saturday, June 6th at the History of Diving Museum with Corals of the Upper Keys presented by Jerry and Idaz Greenberg from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

Jerry Greenberg has been diving and taking underwater photos of the Florida Keys since the early 1950s. He had the honor of providing the first underwater color photograph to be used as a cover, which appeared on the January 1962 edition of National Geographic Magazine. He was inducted into the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame in 2004 and continues to be active in the community and diving.

Take a tour of the exciting underwater world as Jerry shares his photographs of our beautiful coral reefs from the 1950s to today. Afterwards, both he and Idaz Greenberg will sign copies of their book The Coral Reef, as well as her books Sleep With the Fishes, Florida Keys Reef Life, and Coral Reef Coloring Book. Guests will receive 25% off their copies from the Museum Store.

Hands-on children’s activates will also be offered during the book signing. Have a fun afternoon break from the sun. Bring the grand-kids, young-ones or just the young at heart. Everyone will have a fun time!

Come early to explore the exhibits with our Saturday Special: Kids under 11 are FREE with paying adult.

Also, History of Diving Museum is proud to be a Blue Star Museum. Active duty members of the military and up to five family members can receive complimentary admission to the Museum from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
