Dove Monterey yesterday... lots of fun! I experimented a little with weighting, diving a borrowed seaquest balance in a 7mil wetsuit with a LP80. I played with my weighting and dropped down to 20 lbs, my buoyancy was slightly negative at 15 ft, holding a safety stop was cake.
I looked around to get an idea of what locals were diving; saw quite a few bps but very few hog harnesses.
Few things I learned yesterday.
-RELAX!- I'm still a newbie, so my gas consumption off the charts.
-I don't like weight integrated pouches- I hate alot of weight on my shoulders and they just take up room.
-LP80's don't hold much gas for their size.
-I'm gonna have a hard time streamlining equipment to my liking without a hog harness.
