I thought a great way to start out this new forum would be for folks to tell each other about their rig. To me, the setup seems to be a very personal thing. Yes, we all have basically the same, but we have some unique things about our rig.
Here's mine, starting at the top:
Zeagle DSIV
7ft yellow hose connect to a Zeagle ZX second stage
octo is a ZX on a short hose with a bungee necklace
BP is a DR SS size medium
W is an Oxycheq 45
Harness is a DR Transpac
I have 4 D rings. One per shoulder and one on each side of my waist.
DR HID light on my right side.
Analog SPG on the left waist D ring
Safety reel on the right waist D ring
Two DR 32 weight pockets. Right one holds my 50# lift bag for now and the left one hjas 2 pounds of weight in it. I'm going to keep the pockets on for a while until I get the drysuit buoyancy worked out as I am just switching to DS at the end of the month.
Oh, let's not forget the back-up lights on the shoulder D rings.

As an old OW diver getting back into the sport, this is almost exactly the type of info I've been seeking. The DIR guys, while, for the most part talented and skilled, seem elitish. I just wanna dive safe and use the skills and equipment that offer the greatest chance for success. I am planning a new set of gear for next season, I have some decent used stuff now, for reviewing the bascis. A BP/W seems to make sense for lots of reasons, but DIR isn't in my style or desire for diving. I'm looking forward to being a HOG!

Can any of you perceive of a problem that can be generated by running both primary and AAS hoses under the right arm?
The deployment in a zero viz enviroment calls for your dive duddy to remove your primary reg without asking. ( zero viz , how would they ask anyway?) by haveing the primary under your arm ,this would restrick hose deployment. hope this helps
Yes, the primary is rigged in the standard HOG fashion. I elected, however, not to go the 24" AAS hose run over the right shoulder and bungied about the neck. I chose to run it under my right arm just like the recreational octopus is run, but still bungie the AAS around my neck.
