Are there any sizing issues with putting small size spring straps on a med/large fin?

Ok, I figured the pins would line up. My concern is with the strap having the clearance around the back with out pressing in on the back of the foot pocket. As in applying pressure and crushing in the sides of the pocket.

the reason I ask, is that in the past when trying to use smaller generic straps on larger fins, the straps would crush the foot pocket and add pressure to the foot.

Sounds like the fin pocket was too wide for the foot.

that would be improperly sized straps, has nothing to do with the straps themselves, just using a strap that was the wrong size for your foot/fin/boot combination. I.e. if you have small feet but they're wide and you use a heavy drysuit overboot you might need a large fin size for the foot pocket but a short spring strap, conversely if you have a really narrow foot with thin boots you might be in a smaller fin because of the fin pocket size but since your feet stick out quite a bit you need a longer spring strap.

Springs are springs. They're all "generic" and they don't discriminate. But wait, heavier, more tightly wound, generic springs do have more lateral resistance, ie, they're stiffer.
