I just don't log dives
One of our customers purchased the 30lb unit and used it one time in a fresh water quarry. They then decided to go with the 40lb version. Retail on the unit is $800. $650 takes it with free shipping.

The system is not modular. The wing, plate/harness are meant as a full unit. There's no holes to connect the wing to a 11in hole mounting Backplate.

But there are slots for cam bands so a 40 lb wing can easily be switched for a 30 lb wing, er, modularly that is.
 
Taking it straight from the manual, but yup you're right.
I was assuming the person who asked for a split didn't have a Halcyon Travel plate.

If you want to compare it to Zeagle then yes it's modular in a very very limited way.
