Hi...

I just picked up a new 9523.62 tray (which I understand has now been superseded by a slightly lighter .64 version). For now, it will be used to hold the small 6240.14 Subcompact housing plus flashes and lights. In the bag of bits that came with the handle, along with the hardware and adapter plates, are two flexible rubber strips which do not appear in the list of parts, and are not addressed as to function, in the Instruction Sheet. They are identical is size, 2.5" long and 3/4" wide. One appears to be approximately 1/16" thick, and the other is about 1/8" thick. They also appear to have a peel-off adhesive backing on one side.

Could someone advise as to their placement and function?

Thanks...

These rubber strips are to be used when attaching a non-ikelite housings to the tray. They are designed to reduce the possibility of rotation on the tray, especially if the housing only utilizes one mounting point that can act as a pivot point. You will be ok to store these with your spare parts as your 6240.14 Ikelite Housing offers two mounting points.

Excellent, thanks John.
