During 2014 we are introducing a whole range of Career focused PADI Internship options, but the one we are most excited about is the Komodo Liveaboard Internship Program. The Program includes the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) and the EFRI, and of course the IDC preparation workshops (minimum of 4 days recommended) as many Instructor Specialty courses as they wish, all based at our CDC Center in Gili Trawangan, Indonesia. Following all of the PADI Instructor level courses candidates will travel to Komodo where they will join our exclusive liveaboard operation, The Ikan Biru, to learn how a high end Komodo Liveboard operates shadowing the cruise director every step of the way.

The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) and EFRI course will be conducted in our flagship PADI Career Development Center (CDC) at Trawangan Dive, just one of our many dive centers within our highly established group of dive operators across Indonesia. Trawangan Dive is the only PADI CDC Center in the Gili Islands and is equipped with all the latest facilities and training aids to prepare candidates for a rewarding career in the provision of recreational diving. Our PADI Course Director has worked in a variety of roles worldwide and prepares her candidates to a level that far exceeds that expected within the industry. She will advise candidate on what to expect from the industry and also what to expect from prospective regions of the world. The Course will start with the free Pre-IDC workshops (a minimum of 4 days is advised) and this is followed by the 10 day IDC Course, the PADI Instructor Exam (IE) and 2 day EFRI course. Instructor specialty training or MSDT prep will typically be conducted after the IDC but this can be arranged to suit individual candidates. Check out our Instructor Training options on our IDC Indonesia website
Once the Instructor Level Training is completed internship candidates will need to travel to Labuan Bajo where they will meet with the staff and Cruise Director for the Blue Marlin liveaboard, The Ikan Biru. They will then assist the Cruise Director to ensure that the boat is prepared and all provisions are taken care of before joining the scheduled trip to Komodo National Park. Candidates will then enjoy the spectacular diving in one of the world best and most challenging dive locations whilst learning every aspect of organizing and running a successful liveaboard operation.
On completion of the trip the new PADI Instructor will have gained invaluable work experience and will already have a position to add to their resume; not to mention an unforgettable diving experience! Check out our Liveaboard in Komodo on the Blue Marlin Komodo website.
Alternatively contact our PADI Course Director for more information about the program.
