Diving in Makassar

Hi,

I'm traveling today to Makassar and was wondering if it's worth ruling to get a couple of dives there before going to Tana Toraja. I can't find much information on the forum that is recent, so maybe someone can share their thoughts on this?

Try diving in Bira. It's a tough 4.5 hour drive from the airport but worth a couple of days IMHO. I think I posted a trip report here last August.

Thanks Zippsy. I had considered Bira but I'll be traveling north so wouldn't be convenient so I dismissed it . Will keep it in mind for a future travel

It's mostly a day trip by boats to visit spermonde islands near makassar. We have kappoposang island, a wall diving spot with depth about 100m+.
