Don’t just become a PADI Instructor, become the best PADI Instructor! Our Platinum PADI Course Director ensures that our PADI Career Development Center (CDC) and the PADI IDC Gili Islands is the most up to date and most comprehensive Instructor Development Course you will find. It’s important to keep full up to date when it comes to professional PADI training as soon after the course finishes, candidates will be teaching others to dive and passing on their wisdom, experience and knowledge. If you have a real passion for diving and want to become a PADI Scuba Instructor than there is no reason not to want to be the best possible instructor and take advantage of the training with a PADI CDC Center and a Platinum Course Director.

As a PADI Career Development Center (CDC), and in fact the only PADI CDC Center in Lombok and the Gili Islands we realize we are at the forefront on professional PADI training and therefore not only provide some of the best professional training facilities in the region, but constantly monitoring the structure and content of our PADI professional courses to make sure they are kept in line with industry leaders and to make sure we are providing the addition training PADI Instructors will need to develop a successful and rewarding career.

Our Platinum PADI Course Director also acknowledges the need to keep herself up dated with all the latest training news and is constantly monitoring our course content and structure so it is not only kept fully up to date with current changes, but is also delivered in a way the benefits future PADI Instructors. Being a Platinum rated PADI Course Director in the Gili Islands is an important role in delivering the absolute latest cutting edge instructor training information.

As well as course content, structure and quality, we also like to monitor our group sizes as our PADI IDC program currently seems to be a popular choice for those looking for a career in the provision of recreational scuba diver training. There is also a huge debate about whether a particular group is too small or too large. Over a period of time we have established that a mid-sized group tends to be perfect for the development of individual instructors. We have previously found that too smaller groups tend to be open to candidates missing out on seeing the range of ways particular problems are delivered and conversely to too larger group tends to give way to weaker candidates not receiving the required time and attention. Having said this the PADI Course Director is limited to a group size of 8 under the PADI Standards system and therefor larger group sizes will also be furnished with the necessary amount of IDC Staff. Here at our PADI CDC facility we prefer to have medium sized groups which gives candidates the best of both worlds. If you’re looking to find out more about the effect or group sizes on the PADI Instructor Development Course take a look at our PADI IDC Gili Islands Group Size Analysis Report, which weighs up the pros and cons of group size and the effects it has on the group as a whole and their individual development.

Another recent area of concern is the new Revised PADI Open Water Course, which has got many seasoned and experienced PADI Instructors worried and we guess this may have also been passed down to certified Divemaster’s. Although the new revised course is not due to be implemented into Indonesia till a later date, we are fully prepared. the IDC is currently focused around the classic or traditional PADI Open Water Course as this is what candidates will be immediately teaching for the time being, but as one of the most advance IDC training centers in the region we feel it our duty to update our IDC candidates and of course anyone who has previously taken their IDC through our Platinum rated PADI Course Director about the necessary changes. It would be great to offer this service to everyone, but this is somewhat impossible so we are conducting a range of workshops for our previous candidates and incorporating the update into our IDC program. We have however provided an online summary of the changes for anyone to access and hopefully those without this kind of support can make a much smoother transition into teaching the new revised Open Water Diver Course. If you’re looking to find out more about the changes check out the PADI IDC Indonesia Updated and Revised Open Water Program.

Another addition to the PADI IDC is the Project Aware presentation/workshop. We will be incorporating this either directly in the course or as an optional post IDC workshop. We feel that the efforts of the Project Aware Foundation are a vital aspect of what we do and as PADI Instructors it is important to create Project Aware Ambassadors to carry the voice of the foundation and directly pass it on to the future generations of divers. Again any of our previous candidates are welcome to attend our Project Aware seminars, and of course for those who haven’t trained through our facility we have once again prepared some online information regarding the topic. If you’re looking to find out more about the new Project AWARE presentation/seminar check out the PADI IDC Gili Islands Project Aware Update.
