Trip to the Philippines

Hi

We are off to the Philippines at the end of Jan to end of Feb. Can anyone suggest dive areas to visit, that are suitable for the time of year. Not so mad on wrecks. What are the chances of seeing the whale sharks at this time of year?

There is word on the streets that lots of new areas were just made accessible and some dive shops have entirely changed their trip destinations, and some new shops are opening. I've been doing some research, but if you are already going I hope that you'll become another researcher getting more information on this.
