Greetings, one and all...
After a protracted certification process involving repeated barotrauma (another story for another day, perhaps), I finally got my C-card in December. At the time I was spurred on by dreams to dive on my honeymoon in french polynesia, a mission i accomplished a couple weeks ago...
So now i'm back in LA, and besides loving married life and all the joys of being a newlywed, it's mostly diving i think about. Today was momentous-- I purchased my first wetsuit. Combined with a new-to-me BCD (thank you, cousin d.), and other "laying around" gear I can dive without having to rent anything.
Watch out, Avalon. Your garibaldi-hordin' ***** is mine next weekend (normally i'd actually curse, but i get the sense that this is a clean board. please advise me if i'm mistaken).
anyway, it's been a long day of donning and doffing wetsuits. problem is i'm so exicited i may not be able to sleep till the boat's heading east next weekend.
