Dive Shops - Ambergris Caye - Recommendations

I am traveling to Belize and staying on Ambergris Caye. Any recommendations for dive shops?

We were there back in 2002, and had a good experience with Hustler Tours and the part-owner Billy. They operate off the south end of the island, if I remember correctly, near the Blue Tang hotel.

He was a pretty good dive guide (but we were relatively new at that point), and cooked us a barracuda that he caught on one of his fishing trips that week.

Ecologic Divers. Located in downtown San Pedro beach area.
Suyapa, one of the owners, will help you with all your needs.
They are great for local diving. We did 3 dives a day locally.
Pre-arrange Nitrox with them directly.

Another option is Protech. They are a great shop, too.

If you are planning the "trek" to the blue hole and turneffe, you might want to look at whoever has the "fastest boat". At the time about a year ago, Amigos del Mar had a very quick boat. No matter which boat you get on ... It's still a trek.

Cool, I've read a bunch of posts here where he contributed, but I didn't realize he owned a shop in Belize!
