Excited/Recently Certified Diver from TN

Hey Everybody,

I'm a fairly new diver. I've been certified (SSI) for just over a year, and have made about 10 dives total. I'm a college student in Cleveland, so it's hard for me to find places to dive that I can afford to go. So, I guess I'm just looking for people from this area with the common purpose of diving. I'd love to network with some people who already know everywhere in the SE to dive. So far I've done some quarry dives and a few calm water river dives. Any ideas for this area? Thanks.

Welcome to SB. I would recommend looking around the US Reional Section for dive related stuff in your area.

Locally, it's all quarries and lakes. Hook up with a good dive club to get some travel in.

Hi Splash and welcome to the ScubaBoard.

I grew up in Cleveland and did my certifications in Chattanooga. I went through LeisureTime (Many years ago when Gary McNabb ran the shop. He was a really great guy to work with. They have a scuba club and do local dives. There are quarries in Sweetwater and LocLowMinn (McMinn County) if you are interested. My husband and I did those a few times in the early days.
