Hi guys,

I've been certified for a year now but still fairly new to diving as I haven't really done it a lot last year.. I only had 7 dives including certification last year... I'm hoping I can do it more..

Since I'm planning to do it more, I'm considering investing on equipment... Right now I'm looking for a used TLS350 to begin with. I probably need a Medium (I'm 5ft, 125lbs). So if anyone's selling or know someone who's selling it, please let me know.

Thanks,
Cindy

Welcome to Scubaboard :)

Make sure to check out the local Norcal forums

DUI builds great suits, I have one myself, but for less money many people are going to the new Fusion suit from Whites. Including many tech divers along with recreational divers who dive our local waters. They can be had new for almost the cost of a used DUI.

The first review is from a gal about your size.

Here you can see the prices. The Tech Skin with pockets is the way to go. Pockets no matter what suit you purchase are a necessary for diving in kelp. Keeps your gear like surface marker buoys stored so the kelp monster can not grab it.

Good luck on your hunt for a suit.

Before you purchase gear learn about the different types of diving we do around here. Most of the people who dive local wind up replacing much the gear the local dive shops sells, with gear that is better suited to our local waters. For instance a back plate and wing (BP/W) cost about the same as a jacket BC, but offer much more in the way of function. Most of the local dive shops do not want you to know that. There are a few that stock good quality dive gear though. Like Any Water Sports in San Jose. Anyway read this thread and decide if you want to learn more. So confused with Jacket BC's & BP/W's!!!

Wow, interesting piece on the Trash Gyre. There is soooo much out there that needs to be addressed to protect our oceans!!

You can do your part by using reusable cloth grocery bags  Plus they do not break leaving your groceries on the ground!
