Greetings! I'm from San Diego and am just getting back into diving, since my roommate recently got certified. I originally got certified out at Catalina (Emerald Bay) when I was 14, dove actively, then put it down for a while when my Dad passed. I'm excited to get back into the hobby! I'm open water certified and plan to look into deep ocean diving and night diving down the road.

Congrats on getting back into diving. You'll find that night diving, even at familiar sites, is a whole new experience, with nocturnal species coming out, different types of marine behavior, and just a cool feeling.

I'd recommend taking a refresher course, as it has been a while since you last dove. Then start diving again!
