I'm a fairly new diver (certified last July) and am addicted. I dived last year until October and then could hardly wait until the ice melted to get back in this April, although I did wait until the water warmed up to 45F. In retrospect, the water is going to have to warm up a bit more before I get in next spring or I'll have to fork over for a dry suit.

It is a fun journey and I am enjoying the folks I meet along the way!

That's hardcore. I dove all winter here in nc and coldest it got was 44. Waiting in ice to melt..That's dedication. Good on ya! Keep at it, welcome to sb and dive safe.
 
I've always wanted to go to Cancun! Of course since I started diving my list of where-I-want-to-go has greatly increased. :)
