I was PADI OW certified years ago while at a Club Med in Sonora Bay, Mexico. Not a pleasant experience and my wife never finished. Now, years later she, I and our 24 yo daughter are getting certified / refreshed. Our family experienced the loss of a child and so are using scuba as one way to heal.
We will next be diving in Key Largo. My daughter lives in LA and so while visiting her around Christmas I thought we could go down to San Diego to dive. I just don't know if this is too ambitious and so would appreciate any input. She only has from the weekend prior to, and through Christmas Day off.
