Hello, Divers!
I lived on "Kwaj" 1991-93 and I'm just now discovering this forum. I happened upon it, when one of my Google Alerts reported this thread:
http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/in...lo-kwajalein-could-use-some-advice-ideas.html
...from member krikdiver
Look for my follow-up response in that thread, but here's my underwater story...
I did a lot of snorkeling throughout the islands of Kwajalein Atoll in my mid-20s, but didn't get certified there. I did, however, develop a profound appreciation for life under the surface. In order to show my dedication to my stay on Kwaj, I developed Kwaj-Net. What is Kwaj-Net??? Read on...
I have been managing the Kwaj-Net website since 1994 in an attempt to raise awareness of the spectacle of Kwajalein Atoll and the Marshall Islands and to connect current and former Kwaj residents. It has been an amazingly rewarding experience.
In 2012, I built Kwaj-related social media properties and they thriving quite nicely. If you are interested in knowing more about Kwajalein or RMI diving or just the culture, I invite you to join our Kwaj-Net Facebook page:
http://facebook.com/KwajNet
Thanks and best regards,
