Hi I am a 22 year old Aussie who is currently trying to decide between completing a Divemaster internship on either Roatan or Utila in Honduras. I've read so many forums which have said that Utila is a lot cheaper and is suited to younger backpackers but has average dive sites (compared to Roatan) and doesn't have much to offer in the way of beaches and that Roatan has amazing dive sites and beaches but is very expensive and caters to a 30-50 year old demographic.

Can anyone offer me some candid information on both of these locations as well as general advice on what to expect from my internship? I'm currently looking at UDC in Utila and Barefoot Divers in Roatan.

Thank you!
