Greetings all, and thank you for taking the time to help me on what has unfortunately become a search for the holy-grail of PADI-rated dive-operators in Belize City. My group of five divers and one snorkeler were bumped last-minute (yesterday) from our planned reef-dive while in Belize next week. We are sailing NCL, and were not able to book on-ship for a dive. I then chose to contact one of the two listed operators out of Belize City to see if they could accommodate us. (The other operator is a live-aboard.) When they finally contacted me to say they had secured another dive-boat for us, the contact-person informed me we were one of TWO groups who needed a boat, and that if I could not PIF right at that moment, they would give the boat to the other group who contacted them moments after I had placed my first call to the dive-shop. Needless to say, I was not happy, but such is life when desiring to get wet in the Caribbean.

Sooooooooooooo here I am, seeking advice at the last-minute.

Any ideas?

I've already checked PADI and SSI. (NAUI's site remains down "for maintenance" right now.)

Was it SeaSports? http://www.seasportsbelize.com/scuba_diving/belize_barrier_reef_diving
If you will be visiting Belize for the day on a cruise ship, you will be shuttled to the “Fort Street Tourism Village” where all cruise ship passengers arrive in Belize.

At one time Parkey's used to pick up off some cruise ships. IDK if they still do. Welcome to Hugh Parkey's Belize Adventures Also they have (had?) a location at the Radisson Ft. George in Belize City.

It's also possible to fly over to Ambergris for a 2 tank shore dive if you have enough time in port. It's surprisingly inexpensive and the flight stays low enough so there's no no-fly issue. http://www.aquascubabelize.com/cruiseship_passengers.html

Howdy and welcome to Scubaboard! :admingreet:

I think you should ask on the Central America forum here. Good luck.
