Hi all,

My name is Cody, I'm new to scuba just did my first 2 dives down in Mexico. Currently traveling in the US but I am looking forward to getting started on a course when I get home to Sydney.

Any pointers on good gear, where to spend money and where to save it would be great!

Welcome aboard! As far as gear goes, look into all your options and find what you like. I recently switched to a BP/W and really like it...more freedom.
