Hi there, my uncle is a big scuba diving fan and wants to personalise his tanks, and asked me to do it for him (Im an artist). Initially he wanted it painted on but after a bit of research that seemed like not the best idea, so Im thinking of printing out stickers of the designs he wants instead.

What I need to know is, will any waterproof vinyl work? I found sheets you can print from home of clear waterproof vinyl, but obviously being underwater the whole time I was concerned they might not be appropriate. Aside from which, Im also worried stickers might do damage to his tanks? (these are the pages I was considering using A4 Self Adhesive Clear Sticker Paper Sheet X 20 Sheets: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories )

Sorry to hassle you all, but I'm unfortunately very unfamiliar with scuba, and thought this might be the best place to ask!

Ian

I do not think the stickers you referenced will work as they are for an inkjet printer and the ink will most likely not hold up.

Vinyl stickers can be use on scuba cylinders without damaging the cylinder. Some may stick well while others do not. Any sticker that might be designed for outdoor use (like bumper stickers for cars) is best.

Welcome to ScubaBoard!
