Hello I have just joined, interested in diving around the world, fresh or saltwater, interested in spearfishing, dpv, and tow vehicles. Would love any walleye hunting tips.

Welcome to the board!

Glad you found us! This is a great place to spend your SI, but watch out, it's addictive!

If you fill out your profile a bit more, you'll soon have your neighbours speaking up.

Where do You dive in the panhanle. I went to WT and lived on the south side of Amarillo for 2 years. I have relatives in the area is it worth it to bring gear? Any advice on OK or NM?

I dove at lake Meredith last weekend and it sucked. 2ft vis with nothing to see. The temp dropped substanially at 20ft. Too cold for my shorty. Lots of fishing line to contend with.
The Blue Hole at Santa Rosa NM is not bad. 62 degrees, 90 ft deep at about 5000ft above sea level. There are a few fish to see and always lots of divers. I consider it a been there done that dive. We do some training there but I haven't just went for the fun of it for a few years.
Haven't found any diving close in OK.
Do a seach on Santa Rosa I'm sure you'll get different opinions.
I'd leave the gear at home but I'm sure others will disagree.

welcome aboard

my walleye hunting tips are quite limited, but here they are:

1. go where there are walleye
2. do stuff that attracts them OR sneak up on them nice and slow
3. get yourself the biggest one of the bunch

hope this helps
