Hello, have been lurking for a bit and decided to take the advice on the top of the login page and say "HI!"...

Certified in 2001, My wife did OW this year, and we both finished advanced as well.. I am creeping up the ranks having completed Rescue and currenlty enrolled in DM... Will finalize by spring..

We just returned from a trip to Cozumel.. now looking to book another trip in January to ???

Any suggestions for inexpensive dive trips in January??

Thanks in advance...
-Dennis

Congratulations and welcome to the board! Sounds like you're having a great time! Can't give any advise on where to go as I'm just getting back into diving after several years off. I remember the Philippines was really cool.

Hello Dennis and welcome to Scubaboard! Glad you came in from the "shadows"!

Welcome to the board!

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

I'm not sure what a good place to go in January might be. You may try some of our different Scuba Diving Vacation & Destinations forums for some ideas on where to go in January. The General Travel & Vacation Discussions forum might be a good place to start.

Don't forget to fill out your profile and dive info, so that we can add context to your future posts. Also, once we know where you are geographically from your profile, you may find that you'll have a whole bunch of new dive buddies to choose from locally.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.

Howdy!

And welcome to SB - the biggest, the best, the fastest growing, and :D the friendliest!

You didn't say where you are, but - Cozumel is a good choice for January. A norte may blow you out then, but it's never very cold. Florida and the Bahamas are convenient for most Americans, but can be colder if a cold front pushes down that far. Yet, I am doing the Bahamas the last week of December. Taking my 5 mil and my 7, just in case.

Completing your Profile with location will help in future diving discussions. You can use the Quick Links menu above for this. Sizing a photo for your profile or Avatar can be a challenge; I'm a fumbling amateur, but I get the job done, if you'd like any help?

PM me if I can help you learn your way around; that is - click my username to the upper left, then follow the prompts to send me a "Personal Message."

And if you're going to be in Houston Oct 16 - for the DEMA show or any other reason, you're even invited to a SB Bar-B-Q dinner! Click here: http://scubaboard.com/t73366-swampers-bbq-update-and-current-info.html or PM me for assistance in signing up for it. Dee wanted to know sooner, but she can squeeze a few in late. I wouldn't miss this for anything! :thumb:

Heya Dennis, welcome to the board! Congrats to both of you on your recent certification :cheering: I don't know about airfare, but my hubbie and I stayed in the Key Largo for a week, 5 2tank dives each, hotel, & food (we had our own car) all for about $800..

Cheers,
Vickie

Hey Dennis. I'm glad to see that you posted.

I'll see you around the shop or on a dive soon.
