Hi folks my name is Andy, i am a 19 year old student at Georgewashington University in Washington DC, um have my advanced open water cert, got that three years ago down in punta cana, have dove there, bermuda, and a few fresh water sights up in NJ were i am origionally from and reside while not in school. Still reletivly new to the sport and trying to gain expereince and find new safe and legal dives. Um im up for dives in northern Nj and such as well as suggestions for new sights. i also have a few good ones less know if anyone is interested rop me a line via e-mail or this forum. Anyone setting up any dives in that area or down in northern virgina please contact me as i am trying to do more diving this year as time allows. Thats about it not much else to say also if someon from up state new york is interested, i found one of the ultimate dives for the region, well im 98 percent sure i have an exact on it , a submerged town fro mthe late 50's partially intact under about 75'ft. Issue comes from while when i found it in augest 2001 gettin a resivour permit for a new york resivour was real easy, in light of 9/11 State athority will not issue permits guess they fear divers will hurt NYC drinkin water. Well thats about it nice to join all you folks

Welcome to the board!

You'll find there are probably a lot of people around you who love to dive...check out the Scubaboard Clubs farther down the forum list. I think they post happenings too.

Enjoy and I look forward to seeing you around.

Welcome to the board!

WELCOME to ScubaBoard Andy!!!
You packed in the middle of an unlimited number
of potential dive buddies, and to hear them tell it,
unlimited potential dives. Do you have a dry suit?
I hope to see your posts all over as I wander
about aimlessly bumping into things.

Now for my stock message, which is still under construction: I really do have to work on modifying this note!!!
This is a great place to meet people, talk about diving, and get information on just about any aspect of diving -or other subjects sometimes- that you can think of. Roaming through the forums is great help for me.
Now get wet with us and dive into the forums to ask questions, answer those that you can and even chat with folks about diving dreams and nightmares. ScubaBoard is a great place to spend your required Surface Intervals.
When you post a question, be as sure as you can that it's in the right forum or you'll probably find it moved.
The folks here are passionate about their diving, some about their specialty, so the reading can get very interesting, sometimes very hot.
Don't forget, if you haven't already done it, to fill out you profile as completely as reasonable, it'll save you being asked and having to repeat the information often.
Enjoy!

Tom

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

Don't forget to fill out your profile and dive info, so that we can add context to your future posts. Also, once we know where you are geographically from your profile, you may find that you'll have a whole bunch of new dive buddies to choose from locally.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or respond to in this forum.
