Hello from the land of the Gill (Wilmington, NC)!

Hello to all. I finally decided to join in on the fun. I have read these boards for awhile now, and I finally decided to join in. I run a web page about diving the Cape Fear Region in Southeastern North Carolina. I am an experienced diver, trained in technical wreck diving. I have been diving since 1986, where I started in quarries in Pa and Va. I began saltwater diving in 1990 here in North Carolina.........and I have not been back into a quarry ever since! The wreck diving here has also turned me into a light historian and researcher. Hopefully this will be real fun for me in the off season.

Welcome to the board.... Sounds like you have a lot of information that other members of this board will want to know. Be careful, we will pick your brain.

Hi Tom and Welcome to ScubaBoard.com!

I share you feelings of quarry diving Yuck.

Glad you've joined us. Should be mutually rewarding.

A few suggestions I do like to offer every new member. First, it's good to keep your Profile with location and Dive Info with number of dives up to date so other members can address any questions appropriately; edit these as possibly needed from your UserCP above or the Quick Links above.

And don't be shy about posting. Click Forums above, tour the long list of choices, and jump in anywhere you're qualified. PM me with any questions, and I'll try to find a pretty good answer.
You can test the tanks you breathe or - dive on hope.
    Testing is safer...

Great news for vacation divers who cannot talk themselves into buying a personal CO tank tester!

    >> Rent one for a week or longer here <<

Yeah it's just the air we breath - at depth!
