Hi everyone. This is a really great forum! I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to start posting. My girlfriend and I moved to Sunny Fort Lauderdale about a year ago from Chilly Chicago. We've been diving for a couple years. We've been on a few trips and done some local diving here too.

We're interested in meeting more of the local divers - on the internet and underwater too.

We're going to Saba next month if anyone has any recommendations. I should be able to check the forums every few days and I'll be happy to share any info about South Florida (or South Quebec this time of year  ).

Thanks, trig

Welcome to the Board and the area. I recently moved here from Michigan. Come on in the water is fine!

Living in the Midwest, I can sit back and dream of moving to Florida. Ahhhhh! Nice.

If it weren't for kids in high school, job, and parent/in-laws to help with ... we'd be gone in a heartbeat!

Heya trig!! El Orans pointed you to the Florida Section; come join......if you see a dive plan posted, don't hesitate to join; we are always happy to have new buddies!! There's almost always some plan for the upcoming weekend, and more and more weekdays divers as well......

I was in St. Maarten last summer; got to Saba, but not diving unfortunately. Looked to me like there are two or three ops right at the port, and that's your options. It is a very tiny little island, and the roads up to the villages were terrifying (to my flatlander eyes, anyway). So, I can't give too much insight on Saba, but if you'd like any info on St. Maarten, if you're flying through there, I can try to assist.

Hope to see you both out diving!

Howdy and welcome to SB!

Man, you live in FtL and you got less than 50 dives...? :11:

Good to have you here. Click here to PM me if I can help you get started in our various forums.
