Greetings from the Bayou City (that's Houston, to you non-Texans out there)
Just wanted to say Hi. I'm new to diving, having recently completed a resort course with my wife in Curacao. My plan worked to perfection, and she is willing to get certified now along with me, having loved the dives we went on in the Caribbean. We are tentatively set to start the PADI OW course a week from Friday.
I've ordered a decent set of equipment for each of us already, bargain hunting mostly on the internet using Rodale's reviews to guide me, and I'm looking forward to exploring the deep, blue sea.
By the way, I think everyone here will agree that PADI is the best and all the others are second-rate. Ha! Had you going there, didn't I?
Welcome to the boards. Be sure to hook up with the gang at Twin Lakes after your certs and dive. They are good folk.
Never thought I'd say it but sometimes I actually miss that city.
