I would be happy to help out if you find yourself in Thailand
I have always wanted to dive Caesarea (north of Tel Aviv). You may need to be AOW, I am not sure of the conditions but it looks like a cool place to dive.
I may be there next April. Your phonetic spelling of Ceasaria through me off. My wife speaks Hebrew, so I understand. Sorry... What did you think? How was the vis? Cold?

Visability was aweful but that was due to me arriving rather late and catching the tide...
and the water was very warm, depending on your body fat you can dive with only a rashguard...
I had my 7mm Long john and I didnt feel the water at all...

They didn't require AOW when I last dove there (February). The harbour remains are fairly shallow ~30ft. Water temp was 66-69F. Lots of particulate matter from the sandy bottom but I could see objects around 30ft away. On a previous visit (Nov ’06) I only could see about 15ft. Pottery shards, marble columns, rubble and anchors were the primary objects. Local fisherman everywhere so getting hooked is a concern on entry and exit.
I currently in Tel Aviv. It's taken me a while to piece together the local dive sites\shops if you are looking for info. Of course, your wife reads Hebrew so the search won't be as difficult for you.
If anyone needs help with dive sites or diving equipment shops in Israel, i'd be glad to help since i speak hebrew and done quite alot of reaserch on the matter
I believe there is a local dive operation at Ceasaria. I imagine they rent wetsuits. Someone else on SB mentioned wrecks in the Haiffa area, do you know anything about that?
The PM is giving me trouble at the moment, crashing everytime i try opening a message...
anyway, you'll probably need your wives help decyphering ( ) this, but its the best online guide for dive sites on israel's coasts of the mediterranean sea
and I'd be glad to go diving with you when/if you'll be coming over..
PM's are an issue presently. I'll try you again in a few weeks as I am heading out of town. Hooking up with SB divers is always welcomed. Consider the same if you get out to Thailand.
