    Greeting from Atlanta!

I got my OA certification about 4 years ago, and I have never done any diving since. However, a new scuba club was recently started here at my school and my interest has been rejuvenated now that I finally have a chance to go scuba diving at a reasonable cost. I'm enjoying poking around here. This looks like a great place!

    Welcome to ScubaBoard ! ! !
Keep an eye on the "Lake Lanier Looney Birds" in the "Deep Dixie Divers" forum.

I was going to invite ya to go up to Lake Lanier and do a couple of dives with me, but I can't seem to find it !!!

:colouredsmilies: Welcome to ScubaBoard! :colouredsmilies: I used to live in ATL. Nice city. I was the same way when I got certified. I got it in 2003 and didn't go diving again until 2006. For the last year, I've been wet every chance I have been given or got! So welcome back to diving!

Welcome to the 'Board! Diving can actually be quite affordable once you get some initial costs out of the way. Anytime you're interested, come on down to the Florida panhandle (only about a 4 hour drive) and we'll do some shore dives. There are a few springs and gulf shore diving sites around here that will keep you entertained.

If you think it's okay to dive in a cavern or cave without the appropriate training, watch the videos on this web page: Diving the Freshwater Springs. If you still think it's okay, please make sure to donate money to the IUCRR...
