New Oakland Diver

Hi Everyone: I just joined ScubaBoard and wanted to say hello. I've been diving for almost 20 years, but took a 10 year break while living in NC. I'm back in the Bay Area now and looking to get back in the water. My partner and I just went through the certification process again to refresh ourselves, and have dived at Point Lobos and Monterey. We'd love to come to one of the Meet and Greets in Monterey and find other folks to dive with for day and weekend trips.

We're also going to Australia in July and plan to dive the Whitsundays, though haven't finalized those plans and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Welcome to the Board. Have a great time getting back into the wonderful underwater world of Diving. The Board is a great place to hang out and share ideas and information. I haven't been diving in Northern Cal. but I hear it is much colder than SoCal. I would love to dive in Australia but that is not in the budget for a while.

We rarely dive in Monterey (Although it can't be beat), due to the distance, but do dive the Sonoma Coast all the time.
