I am from northern california and there is a man made lake here. The story go's the people of the town, might be called prattville, unsure, they refused to leave and the rich guys wanted a golf course and resort got his hands in the right pockets and the valley was flooded with or with out the town people there. The ones not braught out had to leave very fast but I have been told by a friend that on clear days you can see the top of the church with it bell still there.
Now lucky us we have a huge lake, golf cousre, large resort and million dollar homes no one can aford. I have heard we have a few actors living up there like Clint eastwood. It is a beautiful lake now but I can evern imagine loosing your home because someone else said.
