Hello, Hello, Hello! My name is George and I'm a new diver looking to get wet locally as much as possible. Is it just me, or does that buoyancy thing-a-ma-jig take a little work. I was at the local lake last weekend (Lake Pleasant) and couldn't get the smile off of my face no matter how hard I tried.

Howdy and Welcome to SB.com!

It takes work, and additional training can help. Read more in New Divers forum....

Welcome to Scuba Board, George. None of us can get the smiles off our faces when we're in the water. You'll fit right in.

And, I've discovered that the buoyancything-a-ma-jig gets better with practice and proper weighting. Good luck!
