    Hi From Japan

    Hi All,

I have been a diver for quite some time, but to be honest, I haven't really contributed much online. I decided it was time to get a little more involved. Thanks!

I live in Tokyo (I'm originally from California) so the weather is hot and humid right now. It's a great place to live, but I will actually be moving to the tropical island of Miyakojima, an island off Okinawa, very soon.

If you have any travel plans to Japan let me know and I will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.

Welcome to active participation in SB. Japan has intrigued me for many years. I dated a Japanese-American woman for 8 years. Her father offered several times to take me to Okinawa with him when he went to honor his relatives. I wish I had taken him up on it but I was in grad school then had a very demanding job.

Look forward to your reports from there.
Dr. Bill: I once had a 6-pack but now I have a full keg... well, maybe just a pony!
Dr. Bill: Not THAT kind of doctor... but I'll take a look at it anyway!

    Welcome aboard both of you!!

I'm not too far from where you are. Live and work in Phuket, Thailand.

Diving here is world class. The Similan Islands is a most, if you get the chance to go, do!

    Have a great day.

    Sanna,

I have heard some great things about Phuket. Not too far away so I may have to try it out sometime.

    Super7,

How long have you been here in Tokyo and what do you do?

Thanks for all the warm welcomes.

Nice to be welcomed. Thanks to you all.

    thescubaisland,
I went to kindergarten in UK, prep school in Australia, and other than that
    I've always lived in Tokyo.

As for my profession, I raise my daughter, try to keep my wife happy,
and in between read science articles and do lectures once in a while to
    fund my dive trips *grin*.
