Introductions and GreetsNew to Scuba? Or maybe just new to these forums? Well, by all means, start off here with a quick hello to introduce yourself. We promise, we don't bite... much...
I have been a diver for quite some time, but to be honest, I haven't really contributed much online. I decided it was time to get a little more involved. Thanks!
I live in Tokyo (I'm originally from California) so the weather is hot and humid right now. It's a great place to live, but I will actually be moving to the tropical island of Miyakojima, an island off Okinawa, very soon.
If you have any travel plans to Japan let me know and I will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
Welcome to active participation in SB. Japan has intrigued me for many years. I dated a Japanese-American woman for 8 years. Her father offered several times to take me to Okinawa with him when he went to honor his relatives. I wish I had taken him up on it but I was in grad school then had a very demanding job.
thescubaisland,
I went to kindergarten in UK, prep school in Australia, and other than that
I've always lived in Tokyo.
As for my profession, I raise my daughter, try to keep my wife happy,
and in between read science articles and do lectures once in a while to
fund my dive trips *grin*.
