I am going to Flamingo beach Costa Rica in January. Does anyone have suggestions about accommodations and dive operators? Thanks, ryanmlr

Welcome to Scuba Board, ryanmir.

Steve is correct. You will get greater results posting under the Central America forum in the Travel section. Steve's link will take you there.

For what it's worth, I was in Costa Rica in July, stayed and dived with Ocotol Beach Resort. They are located in the Papagayo Gulf region on the northern Pacific coast.

I don't know what region or where Flamingo Beach is in relations to where I stayed. The diving was great in Costa Rica, lotsa currents and surge, bull sharks, white-tipped sharks, manta rays, eagle rays, southern rays, many varieites of eels and morays, scorpion fish, turtles, puffer, snapper and too many fishes for this newbie to recall. Good luck!

Ryanmlr,

I have done a ton of research on Costa Rica and particularly Flamingo beach. The diving should be just amazing and the resorts are pretty darn nice too. The op I'd suggest is Pacific Coast Dive Center. They have 2 boats, one is 53' the other 28'. the rates are good, the people very friendly, and equipment is good as well. I'll be going down within 3 weeks and using them. I'm in Seattle and will fly into Liberia. Hope this all helps.. Liberia is only an hour from the beach. Check em out at there website pacificcoastdivingcr.com

Also, fill me in with any reviews or news that you find. I could also use the help.
