Hope you find diving everything you thought it was and more...as your dive experience progresses, you'll find that you want it more and more, specially during the summer months when the water is warm.
Regardless...hope you find the time to dive year round and enjoy all there is to do with diving.
If you need a buddy, feel free to contact me, I usually dive out of Key Largo at mile marker 100 with Rainbow Reef.
