Welcome to ScubaBoard, what part of Texas are you in? You have a lot of choices for fresh or saltwater diving in your state, or Oklahoma or Arkansas lakes. As a beginner, You'll learn your basic skills quickly with frequent freshwater dives at Possum Kingdom Lake, Travis Lake or floating a clear river southwest of Austin. When you have more experience, you can step up to deeper diving in the lakes, Hunting alligator gar in Caddo lake, or travel out to the Oil rigs in the gulf. Just put in lots of easy dives to master your skills, before moving to more advanced dives.

Click on "Forums" and scroll through the directory to find information on equipment, activities, and locations. A forum way down the list called "Regional Travel. . ." will show you areas around the United States. . . Texas Swamp divers, Texas Gulf Coast, Midwest Muck Divers. Click on "Mexico" for east and west coast of Mexico dive opportunities. Click on "Mexico. . .Cozumel" and find where so many of Texas divers are going year round.
