I just joined the group. Wanted to say hello. Quick question----I have a moby dry suit. Great condition, which I'd like to have new head and wrist seals put on. I understand Moby is out of biz. Is there anyone out there that can recommend someone who does this. I'd also like to sell the suit too. Is there a good site for the sale of used gear.
welcome! where do you dive at?
and also check out the divetrippers.com forum its a small forum but its all local divers with a few from oceanside we're always planning dives and looking for more people!
Mobby's isn't out of business, they were bought by Mares. Also, wrist and neck seal replacements are routine, just about any reputable shop should be able to do that for you.
The classifieds forum here on scubaboard is a great place to sell your used gear. You should expect to give a pretty steep discount on a used drysuit of course.
I just noticed that some time in the last couple of weeks that the old Mobby's web address (mobbys.com), which was basically dead, now links to Captain Aqua's Drysuit Service, which indicates that they specialize in repairing Mobby's suits. They are located in Hayward, CA.
