I am new here and actually have a nearly whole new family of divers. My oldest teen daughter and I got our OW cert done a couple of weeks ago in HI along with a couple extra boat dives and my wife caught the bug on a two tank shore dive. She will be doing her confined water work this weekend. We are not sure when she will do her open water work though it will likely be done here in MN or WI when the lakes thaw and warm up. We spend as much of the summer as we can on the water and now we can spend some of that time under it too! If you are interested in diving the waters of the Eau Claire chain this summer let me know. Middle EC and Bony lake are very clear for freshwater lakes, especially Bony as it is spring fed. I am particularly excited about Bony, it is not very deep but it is world class musky water and there are some monsters in there to check out. Since I can never seem to bring them to me via a fishing line I figured I will have to get in there and see them on their own terms.

I am trying to figure out how I could do the mine dive in MO the first week of June. That looks really cool.

FIrst , welcome darook. I too am origanally from MN and now live near Madison WI . I have my own pontoon rigged for diving and do alot with student divers. My friend (enzed diver) is an instructor here in Cambridge and also teaches at UW Whitewater where I am doing my DM stuff. We take out students who want to continue the diving and get certified. We dive Green Lake quite often during the summer, there are some good wall dives there. We also dive Lake Wazee in Black River Falls which is just about all wall dives. If this sounds interesting please feel free to stay in touch.

Thanks mstrdvr! I went to college in Madtown and got married there. I will stay in touch. BRF is not too far from the Twin Cities and I have heard about the diving there.
