I've been surfing the site for a few weeks now, and finally decided to join so that I could participate in the conversation, ask questions, and hopefully learn more. I have recently rediscovered diving while on leave from Afghanistan. I completed the PADI OWD course with Pro Dive Mexico in PDC. I am also in the process of researching and preparing to buy my own equipment (and will probably post a thread asking for more advice in that are).
Looking forward to being a memeber of the community and getting to know as many of you as I can!
Welcome to the site. I was over in Kabul earlier this year. Sanity break at the moment, but may be looking for a new contract over there next year. How's things?
Things are cold. At my current location, we are in the single digits (Farenheit) during the night and early morning hours. Congrats on the sanity break. They are definitely necessary! I'm looking forward to a decent (potentially permanent) break from this place in the coming year.
