At the end of this year my entire family will be going on a cruise down in the Caribbean area... I'm not too sure on specifics at the moment. A couple years ago I did a "Discover Scuba" type of thing in Hawaii and had a blast (and I think I was pretty good if I do say so myself :p), so I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to experience it again. After mulling over the offerings on the trip (either a new to scuba thing or regular dive), I decided I didn't want to "discover scuba" again, I wanted to see a little more. The only logical choice then was to get certified :p
I've done some research and picked out a dive shop, but won't be taking classes until June due to time constraints. So what do I do now? I'm all excited about my decision to start scuba but have nowhere to really channel my enthusiasm :p
P.S.: I chose nmscuba . com (can't post links yet, apparently) based on online reviews, the length of their classes compared to others (longer = better for me in this), and general impression of enthusiasm from their website compared to others. Does anyone in the area have any experience with them, positive or negative? I'm also open to suggestions for other shops or programs.
