I'm new to scuba and to the boards (altho I've been lurking for a while). I got bit by the scuba bug on vacation in Cozumel. I took the free pool lesson, then the shore dive and that was all I needed to know!
I'm looking forward to making some new friends here on the interwebs and hopefully in the water too!

Hi and welcome. I got bit by the diving bug in the Bahamas and found that Tampa is not a bad place to live for someone who likes to dive. Lots of divers, dive shops, and a variety of diving opportunities nearby.
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!!! And you guys are totally right about the gear and living in Tampa. I've already passed up new shoes and a hair-do in order to save more for diving! I'm headed to Key Largo next weekend to get my noobie feet wet!
