Greetings all! I joined because I am trying to find as much information on SCUBA diving as I can before I actually get into it. I am a Marine currently deployed to Afghanistan. I plan on getting my open water certification as soon as I get back. I will be getting out of the Marine Corps soon after 6 years and while I am finishing school I want to be a volunteer diver at the Pittsburgh PPG aquarium, as well as work in a dive shop part time. I have done one confined dive a long time ago and loved it, but never really followed up with diving. I always thought it was for rich people who lived in or could travel to tropical islands at they leisure. I will be getting certified in NC, then moving home to Pittsburgh to finish school, then moving back down to live in NC.

I'm really excited to get into diving and learning all I can about it!
