joined today primarily to get answers on a specific computer issue, but have enjoyed cruising around the site and plan to participate now that I am here....am relatively new to diving but taking advantage of my location, I dive every week or so...so lots of experience in a very narrow section of the broad spectrum of diving...just getting started with underwater photography though I am an experienced(but definitely amateur level) land-based wildlife photographer.....aloha....Peter

Welcome to Oahu!!

aloha and welcome.....enjoy the clear blue waters of Hawaii.

thanks lone brave...i have 64 dives so far, diving with Gabe at Kaimana Divers and with Island Divers out in Hawaii Kai...done all the south shore wrecks and the Mahi out west...just getting into underwater photography, tried right after I certified, put the camera away after one dive and swore I wouldnt even try taking pictures till I was a better diver...managed to wait a year of reef and wreck dives and think I have improved enough to at least try it again...just using a gopro and Sola light for now.....aloha

Don't know if you'd be interested, but Joakim Hjelm is teaching a GUE Fundies class in August. I just finished Fundies last week with him. Great class that will really help you get your skills hones quickly. Was taught primarily out of the Island Divers shop on Hickam, with the final dives out of their Hawaii Kai shop. Let me know if you want more details on it.
