Hi all. Not a new diver, but new to SB.

I live in Chicago (my local dive shop being Underwater Safaris, which is a short walk from my house), and ordinarily dive Haigh Quarry during the summer, Grand Cayman once a year, and wherever else I happen to go on vacation the rest of the year. I'm nearly finished with Divemaster training, and just completed Ice Diver in February, and both Cavern and Sidemount a few weeks ago in Mexico (thanks to Frank of Blue Life!) Lately I'm curious about DIR and Hogarthian diving, and planning on ditching my BCD for a harness, backplate and wing. Also hope to do solo/self-reliant this summer.

I'm always looking to learn and improve my skills, and when I'm not diving, I'm reading about diving. And there's a ton of interesting stuff here...

Best to all,
Marc

There are some nice resources for team diving in Chicago. ppO2diver here on SB is a technical instructor with a GUE bent. ScubainChicago is a GUE-trained technical diver in the Chicago area. I'm sure either of them would be happy to talk to you.

Interesting! Thanks for the info.
