My name is Jeremy and I am new to ScubaBoard.com but have been certified since 1984. I am a PADI open water instructor but have not taught since 1989. Got too busy with work, family etc. I moved to San Diego last year and have been diving / snorkeling at La Jolla Shores / Cove as much as possible. I have dove in lakes, rivers, quarries and caverns in AR, MO, OK, TX, LA, FL and in the Gulf of Mexico, Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Hawaii. I am planning to go to Catalina Island for my birthday this Wednesday Sept. 3rd with my son if we can work it out. I have joined a couple of meetup groups but have not been able to dive with any of them yet, SD Hammerheads, SD Pirates Dive Club, and Scuba Dive SD. I hope to join them for a dive soon. I will be diving at Point Lobos on the 15th during a work trip to Monterey, looking forward to that!

Of all the meetups you have joned, I see that Power Scuba is not in your list.
They seem like a very well run club and dive very often! They also do quite a few charters and the cost of those is pretty hard to beat.
Is that one reservation for Point Lobos on the 15th you? You have to dive with a buddy there. If you don't have one, I could be interested in joining you!

Yes that is my reservation. I am diving with a co-worker but if you want to join us let me know. This will be our first dive there

Fine line treading: Though Meetup is indeed our web-hosting service, we don't consider ourselves a "Meetup" group per se. We're a full-up corporation and a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization. As I say, that may be putting a fine line on it, but just wanted to offer that up.
And yeah, we dive a fair bit!
