Greetings all. New to the board and just wanted to say hello from the clear warm waters of Guam.

"your" dive site.....Gab Gab II. If you look closely, you can see that this Giant Trevally has a hook & line trailing from its mouth. There used to be one there that actually had a spear protruding from both sides of its head....swam around like that for at least 6 months (listing a little to port, if I remember correctly) before finally dying or wandering off to greener pastures. I actually saw a manta once at GGII...but only once. Hope you get in lots of dives while you're stationed here.

PS...in case you didn't know, there's a local message board.... http://www.scubaguam.com which you could look at for some local information, though it's been a little slow lately.

Howdy Todd!

Welcome to SB!!
:happywave Put us in your computer's favorites and check in often. This is a great place to learn, compare, argue :argue: Look around our various forums - everything from New-To-Scuba to Instructors-Only to Dive Medicine.

We were born on almost the same day, by the way - a couple decades apart...

Glad you found us! This is a great place to spend your SI, but watch out, it's addictive!

I haven't dove GabGab in quite a while. But just this morning, I drifted from Crevice past the Blue Hole ... lots of 'Cuda, and two Turtles.

Let me know if you're ever in need of a buddy !

Hey Chris, I've noticed you on ScubaGuam. I'm HazNavy there. That's an interesting picture of the Travally. I haven't had the pleasure of seeing a manta yet, a few turtles and lots of eels as you know. See you out there.
