Welcome to Scubaboard!

I am also new to Scubaboard. I live in Roland, OK, just outside of Fort Smith, AR and have had several people recommend Beaver Lake. I haven't had a chance to dive there yet. But my husband and I are planning to take a dive trip up that way in the next 3 or 4 weeks. We'll let you know what we think when we get back. If you get a chance to get out there before then, please let us know what you think!

Hi and Welcome to the Board

NWA...? Northwest Airlines? No I think it is more like Northwest Arkansas.

Beaver Lake at Eureka Springs, AR has been mentioned by Joe and Jennifer. That is about as good as it gets here in the midwest. Plenty of motels in the Eureka Springs area. There is Table Rock and Oronogo and Norfolk Lake in the area also. I want to try Oronogo - it is about 5 minutes north of Jolplin and it looks like it has a lot of different dives available. www.oronogo.com

Check out Midwest Muck Divers forum too.

Welcome again
Becky

Beaver Lake is the best place in NWA as far as I know. Several divers from Tulsa go up every weekend. This weekend is an open water cert checkout dive weekend for one shop in Tulsa that I know of. I'm sure there will be plenty of divers at the dam site north park. With any luck, I can make it too.
Come join the roster of the Midwest Muck Divers here on Scubaboard.
